Ted Talks are available on the All Ireland Institute of Hospice & Palliative Care Hub specifically relating to palliative and end of life care.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues.

Care Alliance Ireland has published a booklet to support people whose caring has ended – as they enter a new phase in their lives. When caring ends many family carers experience a range of emotions – grief, exhaustion, isolation – a real void in their lives can emerge.

AIIHPC recently launched The Palliative Hub (http://www.thepalliativehub.com/about-us), an online gateway to information and resources about palliative care which includes:

  • Palliative Hub – Adult – website for people with life limiting conditions, their carers and family members
  • Palliative Hub – Learning Platform – an online learning environment including a number of free to access online learning programmes for professionals and the public
  • Palliative Hub – Professional – website providing resources for health and social care professionals, researchers and educators.
